Standard terms of business

You can access a copy of our standard terms of business here. As a client, you will receive a full engagement letter setting out the services we have agreed to provide, our respective roles and responsibilities and other relevant information.

As part of our legal and regulatory responsibilities under Anti-Money Laundering regulations, we are required to verify the identity of our clients (including individuals who own and control limited companies, partnerships, LLPs, trusts etc). We may verify client identities by carrying out an electronic check with an independent agency and you should let us know if you don’t want us to do this.

Professional indemnity insurance

In accordance with the disclosure requirements of the Services Regulations 2009, our professional indemnity insurance is with Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance PLC, 17 York Street, Manchester, M2 3RS. The territorial coverage is worldwide excluding professional business carried out from an office in the United States of America (or its territories or possessions) or Canada and excludes any action for a claim initiated or pursued in any court in the United States of America (or its territories or possessions) or Canada.

We are committed to providing you with a high quality service that is both efficient and effective. If, at any point you would like to discuss with us how our service to you could be improved, or if you are dissatisfied with the service you are receiving, please let us know by contacting , your engagement director, or Ms S Hutchinson, our Operations Director.

We will carefully consider any complaint you may make about our service as soon as we receive it and do all we can to explain the position to you. We will acknowledge your letter within five business days of its receipt and endeavour to deal with your complaint within eight weeks.

If we do not answer your complaint to your satisfaction, you may, of course, take up the matter with our professional body, ICAEW.

Data protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Data Protection laws applicable to the UK. We do not require you to provide any information to access our website. However, we will need some personal information if you wish to subscribe to our e-bulletins. We store this information for the purpose of providing you with e-bulletins and/or advisory communications regarding industry news and your business.
